ABOUT

Virtual Heritage Space

At Virtual Heritage Space, we believe that the past deserves more than to be preserved – it deserves to be experienced.
Our mission is to use the power of Virtual Reality to reimagine cultural heritage, making it immersive, accessible, and relevant for audiences today and tomorrow.

Cultural heritage is more than history – it is identity, memory, and inspiration. Yet, traditional preservation often limits how people can interact with it. Through VR, we create environments where visitors don’t just observe heritage, but step into it, explore it, and feel connected to it in new ways.

The initiative is led by Prof. Laze Tripkov, who has been working for more than four years on immersive VR experiences and accessibility in cultural contexts. His vision is to bring heritage closer to people through technology, ensuring that it remains alive, engaging, and inclusive.

To realize this vision, Prof. Tripkov joined forces with Galactic Omnivore, a Skopje-based game development studio. Under his guidance, the team has created Virtual Reality cultural heritage islands – unique interactive environments where history and technology meet, offering a new way to explore and preserve identity.

Our journey began with the Glagolitic VR Exhibition, dedicated to celebrating the oldest Slavic script and its profound role in Macedonian and regional heritage. By blending academic expertise with cutting-edge VR design, we are building a platform that both preserves and reimagines culture.

Virtual Heritage Space - Preserve the past. Experience the future.

This is only the beginning. Virtual Heritage Space is a platform for future projects that will bring diverse cultural treasures into the digital realm, ensuring they remain vibrant and meaningful across generations.
