Topic: Virtual Poster environment thru Glagolitic Alphabet
Duration: 19-21 February, 2025
The Virtual Poster Workshop is a 1-2 day hands-on program that focuses on exploring and proving the functional, usable, and artistic transformation of the poster in virtual reality (VR) environments. Designed for students of the students from the Visual Design Studio from Faculty of Art and Design, the workshop examines how posters can evolve from static communication tools into dynamic, immersive experiences within VR. Using modern software tools, students will learn to design posters that integrate interactivity and multimedia elements, enabling them to function effectively in virtual spaces. The workshop encourages participants to experiment with the artistic and practical potential of posters in VR, culminating in the creation of their own projects and receiving constructive feedback, including insights related to the Glagolitic Alphabet virtual environment project.
Content Overview:
The workshop begins with a pre-survey to assess students’ familiarity with VR and digital design, followed by modules introducing virtual poster concepts, design fundamentals, and techniques for incorporating interactivity using VR and multimedia. Participants will engage in project development sessions to create virtual posters, emphasizing creativity and technical execution, and conclude with presentations and constructive critiques to refine their work.
Key features:
The workshop offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools, a gamified learning approach, and opportunities for individual creativity and teamwork. It provides constructive feedback to refine designs and research projects, serving as a practical, collaborative platform to merge creativity with technology and prepare students for future digital design challenges.
