VR Exhibition by Prof. Laze Tripkov

Venue: Galleri CC, Malmö, Sweden
Dates: 22 April – 22 May 2025

Following its presentation in New York in December 2024, the Glagolitic Echoes project has evolved into a more fluid continuum between past and future, myth and reality, the material and the virtual, reimagining the Glagolitic script– Europe’s oldest Slavic writing system, originating in the 9th century – not as a relic of the past, but as a living, evolving cultural entity.

The new phase of the project introduces a more structured conceptual framework, focusing on the transformative evolution of images – as symbols of Slavic identity and linguistic heritage – activated through immersive storytelling, interactive design, and speculative digital narratives that position the Glagolitic tradition within contemporary discourse.

A newly added installation performs a ritual of technological rebirth, where historical inscriptions transcend static representation to become living, adaptive narratives, dynamically reshaped through audience interaction. Through this process, Glagolitic Echoes ensures that cultural memory remains critically relevant and actively engaged within the shifting paradigms of digital culture.
